As Spruson & Ferguson continues to strengthen its market focus and international client relationships, we are pleased to welcome Oliver Lutze back to the firm as in his new role as International Client Advisory Lead.
Guiding clients through the diverse intellectual property landscape in Asia Pacific has long been a defining part of our approach. For organisations operating across borders, Oliver's consultancy role reflects a continued focus on strengthening international relationships and connecting clients with the local insight, practical experience and regional expertise needed to succeed in the markets that matter most to them.
"Oliver brings a rare combination of private practice, in-house and international leadership experience," said Duarte Lima, Managing Director, Asia. "His experience, relationships and understanding of client needs will be an invaluable asset to our clients, our people and our international partners."
During Oliver's previous tenure with Spruson & Ferguson, he played a key role in establishing and growing our presence in China, initially as the firm's Shanghai Office Manager before four years as China Country Manager. He has also held senior in-house IP leadership roles with multinational corporations, most recently as Head of Global Patents within Boehringer Ingelheim's pharmaceutical business, bringing extensive experience from both client and advisor perspectives.
"Having worked closely with Oliver over many years, I can confidently attest to his outstanding professionalism and character," said Simon Potter, Managing Director Australia. "He brings exceptional international experience, a deep understanding of innovation-driven businesses and, importantly, he understands our clients, our people and the markets in which we operate. We are delighted to welcome him back to the Spruson & Ferguson family."
Commenting on his return, Oliver said:
"I am delighted to be returning in a new role to Spruson & Ferguson at a time when innovation and intellectual property are so important to organisations operating across borders. I appreciate the challenges businesses face and look forward to connecting with our clients and colleagues around the world to provide insights and access to the expertise and regional support they need to succeed across the Asia Pacific region."
Oliver will spend the coming weeks reconnecting with colleagues and clients across the region. We look forward to the value his experience, relationships and international perspective will bring to our clients and partners globally.
