NEW YORK (September 15, 2026) – AlixPartners, the global consulting firm, announced today that Cicely LaMothe has joined the firm as a leading expert in accounting and financial reporting. Cicely brings decades of experience at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where she ended her tenure serving as the Acting Director of the Division of Corporation Finance. She is based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office.
In her role as Acting Director, Cicely led a team of more than 350 accountants and attorneys and oversaw the SEC's program that reviews IPOs, M&A transactions, exempt offerings, and periodic reports. Her subject matter expertise spans U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, disclosure obligations, SEC comment letters, restatements, and the intersection of capital markets regulations with corporate governance.
Cicely joins a growing team of former senior SEC professionals at AlixPartners, which has built a market-leading reputation as the destination for top former regulators and law enforcement professionals. In addition to working closely with her Investigations colleagues, she will collaborate closely with the firm's Office of the CFO practice, as well as its M&A and Valuation professionals — all areas where disclosure, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements are paramount.
