Monty Dhaliwal has been elected as Secretary of the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) of Toronto, effective February 11, 2025.

Monty fills the vacancy created by the appointment to the bench of the Hon. Associate Justice Imran Kamal. His term will run until July 28, 2025.

Monty has five years of service on the Board of Directors of SABA and is in his third two-year term. He previously served as SABA Toronto's Vice President and Secretary and currently sits as co-chair of the organization's Advocacy and CPD Committees.

Since its creation in 2005, the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto has been the GTA's premier legal organization dedicated to promoting the objectives of South Asian members of the legal profession. Members of SABA Toronto include lawyers that self-identify as South Asian or are of South Asian origin, and lawyers that advocate on issues of relevance to the South Asian community.

We congratulate Monty on his new role and recognize the contribution he is making to SABA Toronto.
