Herrington Carmichael Solicitors is proud to announce a new partnership with the Community Matters Partnership (CMP) as part of our ongoing commitment to initiatives to support our local communities .

Aligning with a Shared Vision

Over recent years, Herrington Carmichael has been actively seeking ways to give back to the local community. We understand the importance of our role in as a business in the community and we believe in investing in the people and places that have helped us thrive. CMP’s vision of connecting businesses and the community perfectly aligns with our values.

“When we (Herrington Carmichael) first began looking at community projects and where the greatest need is, we were asking ourselves where to start, who to help, and which were the area’s most needing help,” says Dan Reeves, Marketing Manager. “We are motivated and energised by CMP’s vision and the chance to be a part of something bigger.”

We have been working with CMP regularly over the years and have been sponsoring their annual Twilight Runway Challenge. Joining CMP’s membership has been a natural progression to the relationship, and we are looking forward to contributing more meaningfully throughout the year.

How do CMP make a difference?

CMP’s vision is to make a positive difference in the world by connecting business and community. Their mission is to help and support companies deliver their social responsibility. They practically do this by partnering with businesses and hosting Community Action Days where businesses come together to work on specific community projects.

CMP works with 22 charities and schools that serve some of the most vulnerable and in-need in our local community.

In 2023 they:

  • Organised 52 Community Action Days and corporate volunteering days, resulting in 4,717 hours of labour.
  • Saved £82,548 in labour costs.
  • Raised £42,000 through its annual Twilight Runway Challenge.

“This (Herrington Carmichael) is a local company which genuinely understands what social responsibility means, but more importantly, actively wants to find dynamic ways to give back to the community it serves.” Simon Jarvis, CMP CEO

Building a better future

An essential and core aspect of our company values is investing in relationships with our people, clients and communities through collaboration and with excellence at the forefront of the decisions we make and actions we take. We believe that our new membership with CMP allows us to live out our values with integrity while giving back to the community in the best possible way.

Our hope is to continue these strong efforts as we plan for future initiatives and as we further drive it and weave it through the culture of our firm.

Watch this space as we venture into our community with CMP and other local businesses. Together, we can create a lasting positive influence!
