1. What's been your career journey so far?

I studied at Columbia University in New York and then the University of Oxford where I specialised in Russian and East European Studies.

I worked in Brussels at the European Commission before returning to Jersey to begin my legal career.

I worked in corporate law before changing focus and moving to dispute resolution.

Career paths are not always traditional and linear; it is possible to take different paths and still get to the right place!.

2. What are your future goals?

I have previously taught at the Institute of Law in Jersey and I am working with the Jersey branch of the European Law Students' Association.

I would like to continue to support aspiring and young lawyers.

3. What's the best advice you have ever been given?

You rarely regret saying yes to an opportunity.

4. Is there a women who inspires who?

I really respect Miriam González Durántez and the work that she has done to raise the aspirations of young girls by connecting them with female role models through her charity Inspiring Girls.

I set up the Jersey branch of her organisation Inspiring Girls in 2021.

5. What's something that brings you joy?

I really enjoy birdwatching! I have been lucky enough to travel and see some very colourful birds. The Cuban tody is my favourite – it's the cutest! (see picture)
