This event is another way to help make the voices of survivors heard and find ways to support them on their journey forward.

What Is Trauma-Informed Care, and Why Is It So Important?, presented by Eden Dales, MSW, RSW, covers various aspects of trauma, including different types of trauma (such as developmental, childhood, and accident trauma) and their impact on the brain. It will also explore the stress response and emotional regulation for both individuals and their supporters. Core concepts of trauma-informed care will be reviewed, and the relevance of emotional intelligence to trauma-informed care will be discussed.
