Ireland Update: Following enhanced scrutiny by the Central Bank
in respect of investment by UCITS in CFDs, CLOs, CoCos and binary
options, the Central Bank has added a new Q&A (ID 1094) to its
UCITS Q&As clarifying its expectations in respect of such
investments. Although the Q&A refers specifically to
information that is required during the authorisation process for
UCITS, there are also important considerations for existing UCITS
making such investments.
