The European Commission has adopted a delegated regulation supplementing the
Directive on Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMD). The delegated regulation contains
provisions on exemptions, general operating conditions,
depositaries, leverage, transparency and supervision. It is subject
to a scrutiny period by the European Parliament and the Council
until the end of March.
Furthermore, the ESMA has published two consultation documents
clarifying terms used in the AIFMD:
- Draft regulatory technical standards on types of AIFMs
(consultation)
- Guidelines on key concepts of the AIFMD (consultation)
