Jones Day's Dotun Obadina, a partner in the Firm's M&A Practice and based in Minneapolis, was named among the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's 40 Under 40 honorees. For the selection process, Business Journal editors pick 40 leaders under the age of 40 who have demonstrated excellent professional accomplishments while also working to further their communities.

Mr. Obadina focuses on corporate and transactional matters, including public company, complex cross-border, and corporate governance issues. He regularly advises public companies on transformative M&A transactions with values in excess of $1 billion. Most recently, Mr. Obadina advised Huntington Ingalls in a $1.65 billion acquisition in July of 2021 and led deal teams advising Eastman Chemical Company in its $1 billion sale of its global adhesives resins business to Synthomer plc and $800 million sale of its global tire additives business to One Rock Capital Partners, LLC. He leads the M&A practice for the Firm's Minneapolis Office.

Mr. Obadina's leadership extends to the community. He joined the board of directors of Wilderness Inquiry, a nonprofit organization that aims to provide access to the outdoors to all, and is chair of its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. He is committed to expanding the number of diverse attorneys in the legal community, the legal community, and broader community initiatives. Most recently (October, 2021), he served as a panel speaker in connection with the Minnesota Coalition of Bar Associations of Color's Diversity Data Reveal. He also helps to coordinate Jones Day's Constitutional Policing and Civil Justice Reform Initiative in Minneapolis.
