Following the dramatic events in Afghanistan in August this year and with many thousands of Afghans seeking assistance and protection, Corrs established a new relationship with Refugee Legal and mobilised over 70 volunteers within a couple of weeks.

To date, we have contributed over 1000 hours of pro bono advice through Refugee Legal's Afghanistan advice line, helping people prepare visa applications under Australia's Refugee and Special Humanitarian Programme.

Speaking about working with Corrs, Harmonie Cribbes, Volunteer Coordinator at Refugee Legal said "thank you all so much for your tremendous contribution to our Afghanistan Clinic. We would not have been able to establish this clinic without your support."

Making a commitment to the humanitarian needs of people in particularly dire circumstances speaks to the heart of our firm. While providing legal services to those unable to access it for themselves is an understood legal obligation in a modern and functioning democracy, our response to the humanitarian needs of Afghans impacted by the rise of the Taliban is closely tied with our purpose to 'Imagine, inspire, and together create a better future', and something of which we are proud.
