Law firm Russell-Cooke recently bolstered its insolvency team with the recruitment of a senior associate and a newly qualified associate.

David Fendt joins as a senior associate following six years within the insolvency team at London firm Edwin Coe. He brings with him a wealth of experience having previously worked with a wide variety of insolvency practitioners as well as directors, debtors, creditors and other parties involved in the insolvency process. David's particular specialism lies in contentious insolvency litigation and therefore bolsters the team's well-known reputation in this field.

David works closely with R3, The Association of Business Recovery Professionals, the predominant insolvency trade body, and currently sits on its London & South East Region's New Professionals Committee. He also regularly lectures on various topics of interest to the insolvency community.

Jonathan Gorman qualified into the team as an associate after successfully completing his training contact with Russell-Cooke in September 2020. Jonathan will provide valuable support to the growing team, which also includes senior associate Thomas Bond and associate Rebecca Stratton.

Practice head Lee Ranford comments: "These additions strengthen Russell-Cooke's insolvency capability at an interesting time, particularly as businesses and the wider economy start to adjust to the relaxation of various coronavirus restrictions and the withdrawal of government-backed financial support policies. I look forward to working with David and Jonathan and seeing them progress as insolvency specialists."
