Jones Day partners Dotun Obadina and Yaakov Roth have been named to Bloomberg Law's "They've Got Next: The 40 Under 40," the business media company's special report highlighting leading young lawyers nationwide. The 40 selected lawyers in Bloomberg Law's inaugural list are engaged in the practice of law at a law firm, company, government agency, or nonprofit in the United States.

Dotun Obadina is based in the Firm's Minneapolis Office and a partner in the Firm's M&A Practice. He focuses on corporate and transactional matters, including public company, complex cross-border, and corporate governance issues. He regularly advises public companies on transformative M&A transactions with values in excess of $1 billion. Most recently, Mr. Obadina advised Huntington Ingalls in a $1.65 billion acquisition in July of 2021 and advised Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in two multibillion-dollar transactions in 2020.

Based in the Firm's Washington Office and a partner in the Issues & Appeals Practice, Yaakov Roth has achieved success at all levels of the federal judiciary and in state courts. He has played a leading role in recent years on many of the Firm's most high-profile U.S. Supreme Court matters. In May 2020, the Court unanimously reversed Firm client Bridget Kelly's convictions for federal property fraud, adopting the novel positions that Mr. Roth developed and setting a crucial new precedent in white-collar prosecutions.

In addition to successful client representations, the lawyers on Bloomberg's list are also recognized for establishing early ownership of key roles; leadership skills; pro bono service to their communities; displaying new ways of thinking about their legal practices through innovation or thought leadership; and demonstrating tangible support for and participation in diversity and inclusion efforts.
