As was expected and announced in the 2021 federal budget, Bill C-30 introduces a draft of the long-awaited Retail Payments Activities Act (RPAA). While there may be some unexpected issues with the implementing regulations, much can be gleaned from a review of the provisions of the RPAA as drafted.

As stipulated in the above-mentioned regulation, members must preserve supporting documents attesting their completion of training activities for a period of seven years beginning on April 30 following the end of the reference period during which such activities were completed.
