Ocorian has assisted Generali, one of the largest global players in the insurance and asset management sector to buy a stake in Ridemovi.

Ridemovi operates micro-mobility services in 17 Italian and Spanish cities with approximately 30,000 vehicles, two million users and one billion km traveled in just three years of activity.

Thomas Fahl, Managing Director at Ocorian Fund Management said "We are delighted to be able to facilitate this exciting transaction for our long-term client Generali. The demand for micro-mobility is growing at a very high rate as it offers an innovative, high-tech solution for urban mobility with low greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants."

"Through our partnership, we will be able to support the continued investment in research and innovation when it comes to making urban vehicles and services increasingly functional, efficient, and sustainable."

With a fleet of already 30,000 bicycles, e-bikes and e-scooters, the entry of Generali will allow Ridemovi to extend the fleet to approximately 70,000 units, further strengthening its leadership position in Italy and Spain and opening new markets in Europe and outside the EU. The growth of the fleet will be mainly focused on electric vehicles, thus offering a solution for urban mobility with low greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants.

Stefano Ferrari, Portfolio Manager at Generali Investments and designated board member for RideMovi, added "We are delighted to be partnering with Ocorian Fund Management in pursuing our objective of helping to build a healthy, resilient, and sustainable society. Buying a stake in Ridemovi is an investment in a high-tech company that deals with shared mobility, digital technology and sustainability; some of the most important factors that will shape the future of planet and business."
