Erin Sindberg Porter, a Business & Tort Litigation Practice partner in Jones Day's Minneapolis Office, has been appointed Chair of the Commission on Judicial Selection for Minnesota by Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan. The Commission on Judicial Selection solicits, considers, and recommends candidates for vacancies in the District Courts and Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals and comprises nine at-large members, including the Chair, and four district members from each of the ten Judicial Districts. Ms. Sindberg Porter represents clients in civil litigation, investigations, and regulatory and compliance matters. She represents businesses, health care providers, pharmaceutical and device manufacturers, and health insurers, in matters involving fraud, false claims, and other business-related wrongdoing. She has experience in multidistrict litigation, class actions, and consolidated proceedings. Ms. Sindberg Porter maintains a robust pro bono practice, representing youth in foster care through the Children's Law Center of Minnesota, where she serves on the board of directors, and representing low-income Minnesotans seeking to enforce their legal rights through the Volunteer Lawyers Network. She has been included in Best Lawyers, Top Women Lawyers in Minnesota, and was recently honored as a Minnesota Attorney of the Year for her pro bono work.
