Jina Choi will be speaking on a panel entitled "What Investigators Need to Know about the Whistleblower Reward Programs Aimed at Tackling Financial Crime (e.g., the SEC, CFTC, IRS & Treasury Department programs) & Their Impact on Investigations and Corporate Compliance" on June 8, 2023. In this moderator-led discussion, Jina and her colleagues will discuss the following:

• The role whistleblower tips have played over the past 10+ years of the SEC's Dodd-Frank whistleblower reward program in supercharging enforcement efforts at the SEC;
• The rise in whistleblower tip programs both domestically and internationally;
• The anatomy of a whistleblower tip from start to finish; and
• How to create corporate cultures where individuals feel safe to speak up, and issues are addressed internally without needing to resort to external reports to regulators.

This event is co-hosted by Constantine Cannon and the Northern California Chapter of the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists in an effort to bring FinCrime professionals together to collaboratively enhance the education and effectiveness of the multi-dimensional fight against financial crime.
