Foley Hoag is proud to support the New York Intellectual Property Association's (NYIPLA) 101st Annual Dinner in Honor of the Federal Judiciary, taking place on Friday, March 31, in New York, NY.
The Association's first annual dinner honoring the federal judiciary (also known as the "judges' dinner") was held on Dec. 6, 1922 at the Waldorf Astoria New York Hotel. It was a rousing success with 258 people in attendance, including Judges Augustus and Learned Hand.
The tradition continues this year as the NYIPLA honors, the 21st Annual Outstanding Public Service Award recipient, Chief Judge Rodney Gilstrap, of United States District Court of the Eastern District of Texas. Attendees can also look forward to hearing from this year's speaker, Dr. Mae C. Jemison, who is a physician, engineer, former NASA astronaut, and leader of 100 Year Starship non-profit for space exploration. Historically, the attendees also include jurists from various non-U.S. jurisdictions, academic professionals and other legal thought leaders.
