For the first time since the Board Of Personal Data Protection was established, its two decisions is published in Official Gazzette dated 25.01.2018.

Decision numbered 2017/61

The Board decided that phone book service websites and applications' activities are unlawful and these websites and applications must stop their data processing activies. If they do not stop their data processing activities, The Board will applicate to related institutions to ensure that access to these websites and applications is denied. Also if they do not stop their activities, the Board will file a criminal complaint against these websites and applications according to article 136 of Turkish Criminal Code named "Give out, release or acquire personal data unlawfully".

Decision numbered 2017/62

The Board decided that in the places that providing services via bank, box office or desk(for instance banking or health sector), service providers must take required administrative and technical measures to ensure service recipients can not hear or learn other recipients personal data.
