SPEAKERS
Catherine Pham

A funds partner based in Mourant's Cayman Islands office, Catherine regularly advises private equity sponsors, investment banks and investment managers on the structuring, formation, regulation and governance of investment fund structures (across a broad range of asset classes), their downstream transactions (including finance transactions) and exit mechanisms.

Catherine also advises institutional, strategic and seed investors in connection with their investments into investment funds. Prior to joining Mourant, she worked both offshore and onshore, notably at Fraser Milner Casgrain in Toronto.

Sara Galletly

Sara is a partner based in Mourant's Cayman Islands office and heads the Caribbean Regulatory Practice. 

Sara has significant experience with Cayman and BVI regulatory matters; including anti-money laundering, regulatory compliance, sanctions, beneficial ownership, economic substance, regulation of funds and other registrants/licensees, data protection and evolving regulatory regimes, as well as licensing applications, inspections and enforcement matters.

Prior to specialising in regulatory law, Sara's offshore practice focused on investment funds (both hedge and private equity), general corporate law, and structured finance transactions. This transactional experience allows Sara to bring a solutions-oriented, common sense approach to regulatory issues facing clients.

Simon Dickson

Simon is a litigation partner based in Mourant's Cayman Islands office.

Simon has extensive experience in insolvency and restructuring matters, valuation disputes and fraud and asset tracing. He has more experience acting for shareholders in appraisal actions than any other practitioner in the Cayman Islands.

In the last decade, Simon has acted in most of the major funds insolvency matters including Madoff, Sphinx, Belmont and DD Growth and currently acts for the for creditors in the liquidations of Platinum Partners, the Direct Lending Income Fund, Zohar Funds and the collapse of the Abraaj Group.
