The Maples Group is delighted to announce that its Fund Services team won an award for excellence in Client Onboarding — Hedge Fund Administration at the 2021 Global Custodian Industry Leaders Awards.
The event, which was held at Chelsea Piers in New York by industry trade publication Global Custodian, honoured achievement and excellence in fund services and administration. The award recognises our best-in-class service and success in the provision of customized solutions to meet clients' specific needs.
During the pandemic, when both hedge fund managers and their administrators were challenged to work remotely, Maples demonstrated that it was able to seamlessly engage and collaborate with new clients, and onboard new funds as effectively as ever. We continued to execute on our value proposition to deliver the high-touch client service necessary to enable hedge fund managers to respond rapidly to market opportunities with new launches, and delivering a smooth and positive experience for their investors.
The award was based on results gathered during Global Custodian's annual survey of alternative asset management providers. The Maples Group scored a 6.46 out of 7 possible points in the Onboarding category of the Hedge Fund Administration part of the survey, putting the Group well ahead of the polled industry average of 6.12 among 11 service providers. Ratings were based on client feedback collected during the course of the survey research, the results of which Global Custodian released in early September.
"We are proud to be recognised once again for our leading hedge fund administration services," Global Head of Fund Services Tyler Kim said, commenting on the award. "This award is particularly meaningful as it specifically acknowledges the efforts of our client service professionals, who are dedicated to ensuring that managers get off to a strong start with every new fund's launch."
The Global Custodian recognition is the latest in a string of recent awards for the Maples Group Fund Services team. In September, the North America team received the award for Best Compliance Services at the 2021 US Alt Credit Performance & Services awards, hosted by alternative asset management publication and information provider HFM Global. In the same month, the European team took home the award for Fund Administration: ManCo services at the Drawdown Awards, hosted by private-equity focused publication The Drawdown. Global Custodian also recognised the Maples Group's excellence in regulatory and compliance solutions at its Innovation Awards, held this past June.
