Lea’s practice is devoted to dispute resolution in the areas of construction law and commercial litigation. She represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and design and engineering professionals. Her construction-related experience includes contract claims and disputes, construction liens, trust claims, lien priority disputes, bond claims, professional negligence, and bankruptcy. Lea also assists companies and individuals with partnership and shareholder disputes, debt collection, mortgage enforcement, property disputes, and defending charges under Ontario’s Provincial Offences Act related to building code and fire code issues. Lea is a past chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Construction & Infrastructure Law Section. She is recognized in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, Lexpert Special Edition – Infrastructure, The Best Lawyers in Canada in the area of Construction Law, and is a past recipient of the Sean P. McKenna Young Construction Executive Leadership Award, presented by the Toronto Construction Association in recognition of her outstanding leadership within the Association and the construction industry.
