Ana Paula Spencer has been nominated for the presidency of Cape Verde's IGQPI - Quality Management and Intellectual Property Office, replacing the former president, engineer Abraão Lopes.

The engineer Joana Flor will assume the role of Executive Administrator, thus assisting the new president to the Board of Direction of the IGQPI. Created in 2010, the IGQPI integrates both, the SNQC - National Quality System of Cape Verde and the SNPI - National System of Protection of Intellectual Property.

Since its establishment, IGQPI plays an important role in the country's economic development, by introducing practices and procedures that ensure the protection of the Intellectual Property interests of the national and international companies that have business in the archipelago.
