Sayenko Kharenko advised HP Inc., the world leader in printing, on the Ukrainian law matters of its USD 1.05 billion acquisition of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.'s global printer business. The deal covered near 50 jurisdictions all over the world.

The acquisition of Samsung's printer business will expand HP's portfolio, accelerates its ability to disrupt the USD55 billion A3 copier market with multi-function printers, and strengthen its leading A4 laser printing business. The deal included more than 6,500 print patents and a world-class workforce of nearly 1,300 researchers and engineers with expertise in laser technology, imaging electronics, supplies and accessories.

Sayenko Kharenko provided a wide-range transactional support on Ukrainian law matters, including advising on multiple corporate, contractual, regulatory, and employment law matters, rendering structuring advice, transactional support, and preparing documents for the local closing. Sayenko Kharenko's team worked closely with Paul, Weiss, a lead legal counsel to HP, Inc.

Sayenko Kharenko's team was led by counsel Oleksandr Nikolaichyk, with assistance from counsel Anzhela Makhinova, associates Oksana Daskaliuk and Ivan Baranenko under the overall supervision of partner Vladimir Sayenko.
