On February 9, 2017, HM Treasury announced that Charlotte Hogg
had been appointed Deputy Governor for Markets and Banking at the
BoE, effective March 1, 2017. Ms. Hogg will take over the role in
addition to continuing her current role as Chief Operating Officer
of the BoE. Ms. Hogg is replacing Minouche Shafik, who is taking up
the role of Director at the London School of Economics in September
2017.
