two companies that provided activity trackers to their employees to
monitor their physical exercise. One of the employers also
monitored the sleep patterns of its employees. Although the
employees gave their consent to the monitoring, and participation
was voluntary, the DDPA found that the data gathered was
"sensitive personal data" regarding personal health,
which employers are not allowed to process.
