Malta Signs DTA With Curacao

The Maltese Ministry of Finance announced through a press release published on its website on the 18th November that Malta and Curaçao initialled a Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) for the avoidance of double taxation and fiscal evasion with regards to income tax.

The agreement will enter into force as of 1 January 2016 after having been signed and ratified by both sides. The initial signing was done by Maltese finance minister Edward Scicluna and Curaçao's finance minister, Jose Jardim. The Netherland's Ambassador to Malta, Rita Dulci Rahman was also present.
