Maltese Passport Holders Exempted From The Need To Acquire Pre-Entry Visas To The U.A.E.

Following the recent decision taken by the UAE Cabinet, Maltese Passport holders will be exempted from the need to acquire pre-entry visas to the UAE.

Following the recent decision taken by the U.A.E. Cabinet, Maltese Passport holders will, as from 22nd March 2014, be exempted from the need to acquire pre-entry visas to the U.A.E. and these visas will be free of charge. 

One need only ensure that the Passport or passport replacing documents of visitors is valid for: 

  • at least 3 months from the date of entry, for visits of up to 3 months; or
  • at least 6 months from the date of entry, for visits exceeding 3 months.

and in the case of Minors registered in their parent/guardian passport: 

a Passport will not be required, provided that the parent's Passport contains photos of the minors and travelling with the passport holder.
