The Brazilian Telecommunications Agency (Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações - "ANATEL") has decided to promote a public consultation of 45 days aiming at collecting suggestions and contributions for the preparation of a new regulation, relating to the use of radiofrequency spectrums from 71GHz to 76GHz and from 81GHz to 86GHz.

According to ANATEL, the connection between two fixed points with the use of such spectrums may be implemented with high transmission rates, adequate, for instance, to the provision of the Mobile Personal Service (Serviço Móvel Pessoal - SMP) in the modality 4G.

The public consultation is expected to be published in the Official Gazette within the next days.
