Sums paid to shareholders by fund management companies for the purchase of their shares are not considered as a distribution of income. However, revenue, prize and redemption premiums paid to holders of bonds issued in Cameroon with a re-imbursement period equal to or more than 5 years are considered as distributed income taxable at a fixed rate of 10%. Re-imbursement can start from the first year in equal amounts for the duration of the loan. This tax covers all personal income tax or company tax payable on the said income.
