AFM announces preliminary plans for 2013

The AFM has published a draft agenda for 2013, showing the following supervisory themes next year:

  • making the customer's interest a central issue
  • improving the quality of financial service provision
  • improving wealth creation products and advice on these products
  • financial undertakings giving non-retail customers appropriate service
  • transparent and suitable pensions
  • improved quality of governance, reporting and auditing
  • honest and efficient operation of securities markets and a sustainable infrastructure
  • supervision of conduct contributing to the stability of the financial system
  • targeted and swift action on serious violations of integrity
