On 29 November 2012 the President signed the Law "On
Unified Demographic State Register and Ukrainian Citizenship
Identity" (the "Law").
Besides formation of Unified State Demographic Register and
introduction of digital biometric data into identity documents for
Ukrainian citizens, the Law also amends the Law "On
Employment" increasing employers liability for employment of
foreigners without work permits. The fine will be raised to the
level of one hundred minimum wages (which is currently UAH
111,800).
The Law will become effective upon its publication.
