In its Semi-Annual Report to Congress, the CFPB highlighted significant problems faced by consumers between October 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019.

According to the CFPB, the most significant consumer issues regarding financial products or services are:

  • the increasing loan amounts taken out by first-time home-buying service-members with guaranteed home loans by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs; and

  • >the struggle of consumers to pay daily and monthly finances in a timely manner.
