Sean Maraynes (Associate-White Plains) published "Defense of Claims Against Ambulatory Surgical Centers" in the August 28, 2019, edition of Inside Medical Liability magazine, the flagship publication of the Medical Professional Liability Association. In the article, Sean pointed out that procedures at ambulatory surgical centers are becoming more prevalent and analyzed common liability theories. Sean also highlighted the fact that plaintiffs often assert a "profits over people" theory given the financial benefit to physicians due to their ability to treat more patients on an outpatient basis.
