The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)’s Form I-9, which is used by employers to verify the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States, currently has an expiration date of August 31, 2019. USCIS announced on August 27, 2019 that, until further notice, employers should continue to use the current version of Form I-9 despite the expiration date noted on the form. The most current version of Form I-9 is available on the USCIS I-9 Central Website. USCIS will provide an update once the new version of Form I-9 becomes available.
