HEADLINES

  • President Trump is headed to Europe, where he will meet with Queen Elizabeth II, outgoing British Prime Minister Theresa May, and French President Emmanuel Macron.
  • The House plans to take up a disaster relief package after Republican members blocked its passage before last week's recess.
  • The Senate will vote on a variety of Trump's judicial and administrative nominees.

HOUSE

  • The House is in session today through Wednesday, allowing members to travel to France for commemorations of the 75th anniversary of D-Day. The agenda is highlighted by a final vote on disaster relief for regions devastated by storms and wildfires; the House may also take up legislation to protect undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children.
  • The House Armed Services Committee will begin the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act
  • The Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing on reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank.

SENATE

  • The Senate will resume consideration of legislation setting forth the congressional budget for FY2020. Senators also plan to vote on various Trump nominees, including Heath Tarbert as chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
  • The Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing titled "Confronting Threats From China: Assessing Controls on Technology and Investment, and Measures to Combat Opioid Trafficking."
  • The Foreign Relations Committee will hold a hearing on China's governance 30 years after Tiananmen Square.

WHITE HOUSE

  • Trump today will visit Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. While in London, he plans to meet with current Prime Minister Theresa May and may also meet with Boris Johnson, the frontrunner to replace May.
  • Wednesday, he will visit Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar in Shannon, Ireland.
  • Thursday, he will travel to France for D-Day commemorations in Normandy, where he also plans to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron.
