On March 26, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published a technical alert titled, "Technical Alert: Group Health Plan (GHP) Reporting Change for Prescription Drug Coverage Information under the Substance Use-Disorder that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment (SUPPORT) for Patients and Communities Act." (Alert) The Alert announces that beginning January 1, 2020, Group Health Plan Responsible Reporting Entities will be required to report primary prescription drug coverage information which previously had not been required. CMS has a webinar scheduled for April 18, 2019 to address this change.
