Sean O'Shea, Michael Petrella and Amanda Devereux joined Cadwalader's New York office as partners in the Global Litigation Group. The attorneys will expand Cadwalader's trial capabilities and strengthen the firm's services to financial institutions, corporate and fund clients.

Prior to joining Cadwalader, Mr. O'Shea, Mr. Petrella and Ms. Devereux were partners at Boies Schiller Flexner LLP.

Mr. O'Shea joins as Chair of Cadwalader's Trial Practice. He was the former Chief of the Business/Securities Fraud Section of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York. Mr. O'Shea focuses his practice on complex business and white collar litigation, and has represented clients which include large corporations, prominent private equity and hedge funds, as well as senior executives at major corporations. During his tenure as a federal prosecutor, Mr. O'Shea led more than 35 jury trials to verdict and appeared as lead appellate counsel for the DOJ in dozens of appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Mr. Petrella specializes in complex commercial litigation, including cases involving securities fraud, intellectual property, antitrust, civil RICO and the full range of business torts. Additionally, Mr. Petrella has represented clients in shareholder disputes and leveraged buyout suits, and has extensive experience litigating investor and financial industry arbitrations before FINRA, the American Arbitration Association and the NYSE.

Ms. Devereux's practice focuses on white collar defense and complex commercial litigation arbitration. Her experience includes representing senior executives in investigations brought by the DOJ, the SEC and other federal and state regulatory agencies.
