On June 6, 2018, the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency announced that it had selected Bao Nguyen and Ted Dowd to serve as Deputy Chief Counsels in the OCC's Office of the Chief Counsel.

On June 6, 2018, the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency announced that it had selected Bao Nguyen and Ted Dowd to serve as Deputy Chief Counsels in the OCC's Office of the Chief Counsel. Mr. Nguyen will serve as the Principal Deputy Chief Counsel and the OCC Law Department's chief operating officer. Mr. Nguyen will also supervise the Bank Activities and Structure and the Community and Consumer Law divisions, and the Northeast district counsel office. Mr. Dowd will supervise the OCC's Legislative and Regulatory Activities and Securities and Corporate Practices divisions, and the Central and Western district counsel offices.
