President Donald J. Trump nominated Marvin Goodfriend to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. If confirmed by the Senate, Mr. Goodfriend would serve the remainder of a 14-year term expiring in January 2030.

Mr. Goodfriend is currently the Friends of Allan Meltzer Professor of Economics at the Carnegie Mellon University Tepper School of Business. Among other significant roles, Mr. Goodfriend worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond as director of research and a policy advisor, as a visiting Federal Reserve Board economist, and as senior staff economist for President Ronald Reagan's Council of Economic Advisers.
