The fifth annual release of the
Global Regulatory Outlook (GRO) aims to assist the global
financial services industry in navigating the key regulatory
developments for 2017.
Although the president of the United States may not initiate
legislation, but he enjoys the authority of the bully pulpit, as
well as the presidential veto. Republicans hold both houses and
President Trump is eager to make substantial changes.
"Despite the promises to 'dismantle' Dodd-Frank,
changes are likely to be piecemeal and the extent of reform (or
otherwise) won't be clear for some time," as Rosemary
