CFTC Acting Chair J. Christopher Giancarlo appointed Erica Elliott Richardson to be the Director of the Office of Public Affairs ("OPA"). Most recently, Ms. Richardson was a principal at the law and lobbying firm of Jochum, Shore & Trossevin PC.

Previously, Ms. Richardson worked on financial services policy issues as a senior staffer to former Congress member Scott Garrett (R-NJ), and served as communications director for Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) when he was House Majority Whip.

Outgoing OPA Director Steven W. Adamske will become a policy advisor for Commissioner Sharon Bowen.
