The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC") issued a Licensing Manual Draft Supplement ("Draft Supplement") that outlined how the OCC evaluates bank charter applications from financial technology companies. The Draft Supplement reflects the OCC's consideration of comments received in response to its December 2016 paper discussing issues associated with chartering fintech companies. Comments on the Draft Supplement must be submitted by April 14, 2017.
