On October 24, the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security ("DHS") released a statement regarding the recent DDoS attack on domain name server "Dyn." The secretary identified malware that attacks Internet of Things devices such as surveillance cameras and entertainment systems as one type of malware potentially used in this incident.
