On November 2, Susan Huntington and Eric Fader will be speaking
at a webinar jointly sponsored by Day Pitney and Wolf & Co.,
"Business Associates are Under a Microscope - Are You
Prepared?" During the webinar, Huntington and Fader will
discuss the increasing pressure on business associates, from both
the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) and covered entities, and
evaluate realistic compliance strategies, particularly for smaller
organizations. In addition to traditional business associate
agreement requirements, business associates are increasingly being
required to provide security risk assessments, penetration testing
results, certifications like HITRUST, cybersecurity insurance, and
indemnification for data breaches.
