The way you advertise is changing rapidly. Television, radio and print are being augmented – if not replaced – by blogs, Facebook, Instagram and customer-generated content. However, the laws and regulations regarding false, misleading or deceptive advertising still apply, even to social media.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) provides the precedent and regulatory expectations about what is appropriate in advertising across all media. To avoid risks of consumer class actions and governmental investigations of social media advertising claims, lawyers, marketers, ad agencies and compliance managers must be aware of these guidelines.

This webinar presented by Consumer Protection Defense and Compliance Partner Tony DiResta will discuss the regulation of social media and what the FTC expects from companies engaged in social media marketing.
