As discussed above, in the April 6, 2016, Federal Register, FDA announced the availability of a draft guidance for industry titled "Inorganic Arsenic in Rice Cereals for Infants: Action Level" as well as a supporting document and a risk assessment report. The draft guidance, which currently proposes to limit inorganic arsenic in infant rice cereal to 100 parts per billion, will, when finalized, identify an action level for inorganic arsenic in rice cereals for infants that is achievable with the use of current good manufacturing practices.
