On November 6, 2015, the Commission issued guidance on transatlantic data transfers
following invalidation of the safe harbor scheme by the
Schrems ruling of the Court of Justice. The guidance
analyzes the consequences of the judgment and sets out the
alternative mechanisms for transfers of personal data to the United
States.
