In December 2015, Wisconsin became the 12th state to enact the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, an initiative that streamlines certain administrative requirements of licensure for physicians practicing medicine across state lines. So far in the 2016 legislative session, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, New Hampshire, and Washington have introduced legislation to adopt the Compact.
