On January 8, a former baseball executive pled guilty to two counts of unauthorized access of a protected computer in violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act ("CFAA") (18 U.S.C. § 1030). The executive admitted to using his knowledge of a former coworker's password to gain access to the former coworker's new email account and proprietary database account at the coworker's new baseball team.
