As part of a number of revised CMS requirements for the provision of Medicaid covered home health services pursuant to a final rule, effective July 2, 2016, physicians and other authorized providers engaging in a "face-to-face" encounter required for the provision of home health services can satisfy this requirement using telehealth for such face-to-face assessment.
